The River Project

Inspired by the work of John Davies, The River Project follows the River Aire from it's source in the Yorkshire Dales, via West Yorkshire's industrial heartlands, the confluences with the Ouse and Humber and finally, out into the North Sea.

In my first ever photography project I explored the influences of humanity on nature and nature on humanity, coming to the conclusion that without the river the industry and infrastructure that align its banks would fail to exist.
